By creating an API key or using the SlickFast API (api.slickfast.com), you agree
to these Terms. If you use it for an organization, you agree on its behalf.
SlickFast turns a chart specification into an image (PNG or SVG) over HTTP, and hosts "live chart" URLs that serve the latest data you push. We render and serve images — that's the service.
Keep your key secret. You are responsible for all usage and charges under your key. Tell us promptly if it is lost or compromised.
Don't use SlickFast to create or host unlawful, infringing, or harmful content; don't attempt to overload, probe, or break the service; don't mass-produce deceptive or misleading charts — e.g., fabricated figures presented as real data, or charts intended to spread misinformation; and don't resell raw API access as your own identical API. Building your own products on top of the API is welcome and encouraged.
Paid plans are metered in renders. Payments are processed by Polar as our merchant of record; Polar's terms govern the transaction, taxes, and refunds. Plans renew until cancelled. Your render quota resets each billing period.
Plans include per-period render limits and per-request rate limits. We may throttle, or contact you about, abnormal or abusive usage.
The rendering engine is open-source under AGPL-3.0. Using the hosted API places no AGPL obligation on you — copyleft only applies to someone who self-hosts and modifies the engine and offers it over a network. Self-hosting the engine for commercial use may require a separate commercial license — see commercial licensing.
The API is provided "as is," with no uptime or service-level guarantee unless separately agreed in writing. We may change, limit, or discontinue features, giving reasonable notice where practical.
You own the data in your specs and live charts, and grant us only the rights needed to render, cache, and serve it to provide the service.
The SlickFast name, logos, marks, website, and hosted service are ours. These Terms transfer none of them to you.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from the service is capped at the greater of the fees you paid us in the prior three (3) months or US$50. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
You may stop at any time by cancelling. We may suspend or terminate access for breach, abuse, or non-payment. Sections 9–12 survive termination.
We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules.
