Commercial Licensing

SlickFast is free and open source under AGPL-3.0. Non-commercial use — personal projects, students, open-source work, evaluation — is free forever, with everything included. Using the engine inside a commercial product takes a commercial license: cheap, per-app, no license keys, no hoops.

Licensor: SlickWorks LLC (Wyoming, USA)

Pre-revenue startup? Email us — early-stage teams get a free or near-free first year. We'd rather grow with you than charge you before you have revenue.

Prefer paying once? Any license is available as perpetual + 1 year of updates — just ask.

How it works

No license keys, ever. You buy a license, you get a receipt and a signed license document, and the software keeps working exactly as it always did — nothing to activate, nothing that phones home. We price licenses low enough that buying one is easier than not.

Questions

What counts as "one app"?
One product your company ships or operates. All internal tools for your own team together count as one app.
Why does commercial use need a license at all?
The engine is AGPL-3.0. Embedding AGPL code in a closed product would require open-sourcing your product too. A commercial license releases you from that obligation — that's the standard dual-license model used by many open-source engines.
Commercial vs. OEM — which am I?
Where does the engine run? On your servers (inside your SaaS or backend) — Commercial. Shipped out the door and installed at your customers' sites — OEM.
Does using the hosted API put AGPL obligations on me?
No. Calling api.slickfast.com is using a service — no code license involved, no copyleft. See the Terms.
Can I evaluate before buying?
Yes — evaluation is free, full-featured, and untimed. Buy when you ship.
