Commercial License Agreement

Version 1.0 · Effective July 24, 2026 · SlickWorks LLC (Wyoming, USA)
Plain-English summary (the agreement below is what governs): you bought the right to use SlickFast inside one application without the AGPL's open-source obligations. If your license lapses, the last version you received stays licensed to you forever — you just stop getting updates. No license keys, ever.

Licensor: SlickWorks LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company ("SlickWorks").
Licensee: the individual or entity that purchased this license through our payment processor ("you").
Software: the SlickFast rendering engine and associated packages published by SlickWorks (the "Software"), which is also available under the GNU Affero General Public License v3.0 ("AGPL-3.0").

1. What this license is

The Software is open source under AGPL-3.0. This commercial license is an alternative to the AGPL-3.0: it lets you use the Software in your commercial, closed-source product without the AGPL-3.0's copyleft obligations (including its source-disclosure and network-use provisions). If you comply with this agreement, you do not need to comply with the AGPL-3.0 for the licensed use.

2. License grant

Subject to payment and the terms below, SlickWorks grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, worldwide license to use, reproduce, and modify the Software as part of one application (the "Application"), including operating it on your own servers and serving it to end users' browsers as part of the Application's normal operation.

3. What you may not do

4. Term, renewal, and what happens if you stop paying

This license runs for one year from purchase and renews with your subscription. If it lapses: (a) the last Software version you received while licensed remains licensed to you for the Application under this agreement's terms, perpetually; (b) versions released after lapse are not covered; continued updates require an active license. (If you purchased a one-time "perpetual + 1 year of updates" license, clause (a) applies from the end of that year.)

5. Updates and support

While your license is active you receive all published updates to the Software. Support is by email (licensing@slickfast.com): commercially reasonable responses, priority handling on the Commercial tier. No SLA is included at these tiers.

6. No license keys

The Software contains no license-enforcement technology. This agreement, your receipt from our payment processor, and this document together are your proof of license.

7. Ownership

SlickWorks and its contributors retain all rights, title, and interest in the Software. Nothing here transfers ownership. Your Application remains yours; modifications to the Software itself that you distribute outside your Application fall under the AGPL-3.0.

8. Warranty disclaimer

The Software is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, SlickWorks disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SlickWorks' total liability under this agreement is capped at the license fees you paid in the twelve (12) months before the claim. SlickWorks is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or lost profits or data.

10. Termination

SlickWorks may terminate this license if you materially breach it and do not cure within 30 days of written notice. On termination for uncured breach, your rights under this agreement end (the AGPL-3.0 remains available to you on its own terms). Sections 7–9 survive.

11. General

This agreement is the entire agreement about commercial licensing of the Software for the Application and is governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA, excluding conflict-of-laws rules. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stands. Purchases are processed by Polar as merchant of record; Polar's terms govern payment, taxes, and refunds.
